Wave Maker Crafty Brewery & Distillery

Strange times out there, ladies and gents. It seems like forever ago that we stopped into Wave Maker in Cambridge, sat down with Scott and had nothing but a silly goose time. But it would feel weird to not talk a bit about what’s been going on over the past few days. As of right now, Trudeau just addressed the public and stated that the borders are closed to all non – Canadian citizens (with a few exceptions).

Over the past few days, I’ve been staying home and keeping to myself as much as possible. Honestly, it’s baffled me that people insist on still going out to bars and restaurants and gyms. Like, the gym? Really? Hey, bro.. your gains can wait. I don’t know – maybe I’m overreacting, but I feel like it won’t kill anyone to just stay home for a few weeks, whereas I’m not sure I can say the same thing about going out. PLUS, all I’ve seen for years through memes and social media platforms is how everybody apparently hAtEs SoCiAl SiTuAtIoNs and LoVeS cAnCeLlInG pLaNs. Well, now’s your time to shine, folks. Seems like since people started recommending everyone stay in, suddenly we got a community full o’ Busy Bodies and Chatty Cathy’s.

And don’t even get me started on Toilet Paper.

Anywayyy, I really hope everyone can come together by being alone, and let this thing subside before it gets too crazy here. That would be lovely.

In the meantime, while you’re (hopefully) relaxing at home. You should check out our episode with the owner and brewmaster at Wave Maker, Scott Paulter. He was really cool to chat with, and I thoroughly enjoyed sitting down with him the other week. I’m particularly excited to see what they do with the Distillery portion of the place – I know Scott is pumped about the potential for that to happen, so it’d be cool to see it come to fruition.  I wish I could talk in more detail about our day at Wave Maker, and our trip that week, but it just feels weird with all that’s going on.

But, hopefully this can take your mind off of the craziness for a bit! Bonus points if you still have a couple of cold ones in the fridge to enjoy during the episode.
